Soapstone Preschool serves children from 15 months through Transitional Kindergarten in a warm, play-based learning environment that supports curiosity, independence, and joyful learning.

Program Hours

• Toddlers: 9:15–12:15 (Aug–Dec), 9:15–12:45 (Jan–May)

• 2’s–TK: 9:15–12:45, Monday–Friday

  Parent-provided snack & lunch

Tuition

Monthly tuition ranges from $302–$442, depending on age and number of days. Tuition is paid in 9 equal monthly payments.

Registration

January 20, 2026: Tier 1 – Currently enrolled families, siblings

**DATE CHANGE* January 23, 2026: Tier 2 – SUMC families, previously enrolled families, those currently on the waitlist

January 28, 2026: Tier 3 – General Public

Applications are considered complete only after the online application submission and receipt of a registration fee payment.

Medical Requirements

All medical forms and immunization records must be submitted electronically through Procare by August 10, 2026. All students who attend Soapstone Preschool are required to receive vaccinations as outlined by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Soapstone Preschool reserves the right to have the final decision in placing children into each class. We look at many factors, including the boy-to-girl ratio, class & student needs, and other considerations. We commit to doing our best to give each family their first-choice class, if possible.
