When your loved one has died, please call the church at 919-846-2212 to let a staff member know. The pastor will be in contact with you to see how we might be of support. If you would like to have the funeral at Soapstone UMC, we will set up a time to meet with you and establish a time for the service based on sanctuary availability. If the deceased is a church member, or if the service is to be held a Soapstone, the office sends a death notice to the congregation.

The Soapstone Cemetery is located at the chapel site on Old Creedmoor Road and is overseen by the SUMC Trustees. Please contact the church office with questions about cemetery policies.
