Pine Straw Sale
Saturday, March 15, 2025Support our many ministries through orders of pine straw including delivery.
Online and in-person orders will be taken from January 15 – March 12.
Walk-up orders will be taken on March 15, 8 am-11:30 am.
Soapstone will have long needle pine straw. Why is this better?
Due to the thicker, coarser nature of the southern longleaf needle, it is much longer-lasting than other varieties of pine straw, as it takes longer to biodegrade. It also tends to have a brighter, redder color than other varieties of pine straw, making it more appealing in terms of appearance.
Our bale size is the normal bale size as they sell at Lowes or garden nurseries and covers 40 square feet at 3-4 inches in depth
Pine Straw Prices
You pick up: $5.75 per bale
Delivery within 10 miles of Soapstone UMC : .75 cents per bale; $4 minimum; $30 Maximum (41+ bales is a flat fee $30)
(if you are over 10 miles we will not be able to deliver. If you pay online for this and are over 10 miles we will refund your $ ASAP)
Picking up your pine straw?
Pine straw will be available for pickup Saturday, March 15, 8:00 am to noon at Soapstone. You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order and again the week of with details on where to check in when you arrive at SUMC.
Need it delivered?
Deliveries will be made Friday, March 14, from 1:30 -7 pm OR
Saturday, March 15, beginning at 8:00 am
You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order which will include the instructions you need to give our deliverers. You can make changes to these instructions up until March 13. Our church office is closed March 14-March 16, any email received during that time will not be read until Monday, March 17.
We do not have spreading in 2025.
We will need drivers, loaders, and spreaders, sign up here.
