Intercessory Prayer Ministry
Our Intercessory Prayer Team meets every Tuesday morning in the Sanctuary to offer Prayers of Intercession for our church family and friends. Prayer requests are submitted weekly through the church website and worship friendship pads as well as spoken requests to the pastors.
If you are in need of prayer please lift that prayer up to us online here.
Support Card Ministry
Notes of encouragement are sent out monthly to those in our church and community who are on our Intercessory Prayer list. We are so thankful for the high level of commitment of our team members who go the extra mile to share Christ’s love with our church family and friends.
Meal Ministry
Sometimes a homecooked meal can make a world of difference in someone’s life.
Congregational Care provides prepared meals to be shared with those who are in need of a little extra help. These meals are made with the best ingredients, including lots of love and prayers and stored in the freezer at Soapstone. You are welcome to make a meal for the freezer at any time during the year, but we ask you to complete a simple form located in the church office or in the kitchen prior to putting your meal in the freezer. Feel free to donate your favorite dishes, as well any of those below. To obtain recipes click on the links below or check with the church office for a hard copy.
Chicken Pot Pie, Chicken Stew, Lasagna Casserole, Mexican Lasagna, Vegetable Soup, Chicken Enchiladas, Gluten-Free Broccoli & Rice Casserole
If you are ever in need of a meal or know someone that would benefit from this ministry let us know at office@soapstoneumc.org.
Helen Keller Prayer Shawl Ministry
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of members that meet once a month and prayerfully knit or crochet shawls that are given to family and friends who could use a little extra reminder that God is present with them in the midst of their specific needs. These colorful amazing shawls are each prayed over before being given to the person in need. Do you know of someone who needs to be wrapped in warm prayer with one of these shawls? Stop by the church office to receive one of these or send us an email and we will pick one out with you.
