Payne Knight

Payne began working for Soapstone in May of 2023, following his graduation from Trinity Academy in Raleigh. He now attends North Carolina State University, where he is studying Biochemistry with the hopes of attending Physician’s Assistant School.

As the Lead Audio/Visual (AV) Operator, he is tasked with providing sound mixing, audio engineering, and video production for Soapstone’s Sunday services and other events during the year. He started out as an audio engineer in the 4th grade, and he now works for a third party AV integration and production company.

He was born and raised in Raleigh, where he is a Firefighter/EMT for both the Northern Wake Fire Department and NC State University. Besides work, Payne enjoys spending time with friends and connecting with others through service. He is glad to have a strong church community during his college years, and looks forward to meeting and working with everyone at Soapstone!
