Welcome to the Happiness Ministry, where every individual, regardless of ability, finds a warm embrace of love and acceptance. Our ministry is a haven for fellowship, music, games, crafts, and countless other joys, tailored to celebrate the unique abilities of each participant. Here, volunteers from our church community extend their hands in assistance, fostering an atmosphere of inclusion and support. Join us as we create cherished memories and spread happiness together.
The NC State Extension Master Gardeners of Wake County invite the Wonderfully Made Group to a special event to explore interest in ongoing sessions. Our Therapeutic Horticulture program focuses on the well-being of participants, using plants as a tool for connection.

Uniquely Fun Outings at Soapstone UMC are designed to have fun in many ways for youth and adults who are uniquely abled. Each event is different but always a great time for all.
Water Games: June 25,1-3 pm, Backfield & Narthex.
Crafts: July 19,1-3 pm
Bowling: August 23, 1-3 pm
Let’s Have Some Carnival Fun!
Children ages pre-k through 5th grades who are uniquely abled are invited to SUMC in the fall for a special Children’s Carnival just for them!

Enjoy a “Sensory Room”
Room 109 during worship on Sunday mornings and during church events provides a variety of equipment that provides those with special needs personalized sensory input to help calm and focus themselves so they can be better prepared for worshiping and interacting with others.
Epiphany Service for all Children
Happiness Ministry hosts this sensory-friendly service in January for children preschool through 5th grade in the Sanctuary. Learn more and sign up here.
