March 24 – March 26
Registration Deadline: March 13, 2023
Join us at Global Vision! Our theme is “Walking a Mile in Someone Else’s Shoes.” Scripture tells us, “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:33-34, NIV)
Global Vision is a high school-only (9th-12th grade) weekend retreat in the spring. Now at Camp Rockfish, this event focuses on social holiness and explores the immigrant’s journey, like the story of Emmaus.
The Walk to Emmaus gets its name from the story in Luke 24:13-35, which provides the central image for the three-day experience and follow-up. Luke tells the story of that first Easter afternoon when the risen Christ appeared to the two disciples who were walking together along the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus.
Global Vision will include small groups, worship, seminars from current experts in immigration, and camp activities.
