5th Sunday Food Drive

Each fifth Sunday, Soapstone comes together to make a big difference in our community by helping fill the shelves at North Raleigh Ministries. Your donations go directly to local families who are facing food insecurity — a simple act that brings hope and nourishment to our neighbors.

We invite you to bring non-perishable food items to the collection carts in the Narthex or the Norwood foyer on any 5th Sunday. Every can, box, and jar adds up to a meaningful impact!

Below are the items needed most in May of 2026.

Most Needed Food Items:
Canned fruit • Pasta • Condiments • Canned pasta • Cereal, oatmeal/breakfast items • Jelly or peanut butter  • Canned tomatoes • Pasta sauce • Coffee • Baking items (oil, flour, sugar, spices) • Condiments (ketchup, mayo, salad dressing)
• Shelf-stable milk (32 oz)

Most Needed Cleaning/hygiene Items:
• Paper towels • Laundry Detergent • All purpose cleaner • Baby wipes • Paper bags (grocery size) • Dish soap •
• Hand soap • Feminine hygiene products
