A Report of Our Financial Stewardship
Dear Soapstone UMC Family,
In 2020, a year of pandemic, we give God thanks that giving remained strong! Combining your generosity with concerted efforts to control expenses wherever possible, we were able to cover our costs for the year and also add to our operating reserves. Your gifts enabled the staff, committees, and others to continue ongoing ministries as well as to creatively adapt and add to these ministries to fit the uniqueness of the year. Each month we send a Celebrations email that outlines the many robust missions, ministries, worship services and opportunities made possible by your gifts. Your giving has truly been a blessing!
For information on where we stand financially in 2021 through the end of March, please see below. While our giving in March did not cover our expenses for the month, we remain in a positive position year to date.

These are exciting times at Soapstone as we plan to return to indoor services soon and are also nearing the completion of the Cornerstone project. There is light at the end of the pandemic tunnel! We look to come out of this unique period in a strong posture, but of course there are still uncertainties. Please prayerfully consider how you can continue to financially support the work God is doing through Soapstone to impact our church and community.
