Fighting Words: The Art of Disagreeing Well

August 6, 6 pm

A recorded video of this lecture will be added after the session.

We live in a time when conversations can quickly become conflicts. Political differences, social issues, theological disagreements, generational perspectives, and even family decisions often leave people feeling unheard, misunderstood, or attacked.

This lecture explores how relationships can survive—and even thrive—when disagreement seems inevitable.

Drawing from communication research, conflict resolution principles, and Christian teachings on reconciliation, participants will learn practical tools for listening deeply, speaking honestly, managing difficult emotions, and preserving connection without sacrificing conviction.

Rather than avoiding hard conversations, attendees will discover how to engage them in ways that build understanding, foster respect, and create opportunities for healing.

All adults are welcome to join Pastor Damion in the Sanctuary!
