Fall Kick-Off

Join us for a fun start to the fall programming year.

Wondering what Sunday nights at Soapstone are all about? Whether you’re returning, new to our church, or simply curious about Kids’ Rock, Chimes, Handbells, or Youth Group, this is the perfect evening to join us!

Come celebrate the start of a new ministry year on Sunday, September 13, with our NEW family gathering time from 4–5 pm. Enjoy a free dinner of hot dogs (grilled by our Methodist Men), chips, and water while spending time together with games, fellowship, and plenty of fun. We’ll have a bounce house, cornhole, and other outdoor games for all ages.

At 5:00 pm, children and youth will head to their programming while parents gather to learn about the year ahead, hear important ministry updates, and discover what’s in store this fall.

Kids Rock is for ages 4 years through grade 5, meeting one per week on Sunday nights 5-6:30, providing a time for the kids to have fun with music. They will learn to sing together, play chimes (the younger kids), and handbells. The kids get to show off what they have learned to their church family by playing during worship services several times a semester.

Kids on a Mission meets several times during the semester; we break from music and work on local mission projects. In the past, we have baked dog biscuits, filled bags for the homeless, made cards for the homebound elderly, etc.

Youth Group at Soapstone UMC is for ALL youth grades 6 – 12, meeting one per week on Sunday nights 5-6:30 for fellowship and fun! Learn more about Youth Group here.
