Discipleship Intensives Class: a 6-week study of the Ministries and Spiritual Growth at Soapstone
This class will offer a rotation of 6-week studies to explore the discipleship aspects of ongoing ministries and missions at Soapstone. You can participate in them as you have interest and time but we ask that you commit to the entire unit if possible. Between Units, there will be an opportunity to meet at the normal time and fellowship with Lectio Divina, Examen, or other community-building activities that will not require preparation or materials. Each unit will be led by the respective ministries/leaders of that group (Social Justice, Open Hearts, Creation Care, Enneagram) The materials will be determined by them individually.
Exploring Discipleship Deeply
Bridge Building – Learn about the divide between the white and black churches in America and how we might begin to bridge the gap.
Open Hearts – Learn to appreciate and support All of our siblings in Christ, finding a new appreciation for what makes us different and loved completely.
Creation Care – Learn effective ways to “tend and watch over” the garden that is our sustaining earth, along with its creatures, following God’s call for human responsibility.
Enneagram – Find out how God created you uniquely to reflect and respond to His call to follow Christ: develop skills to enable the word to dwell in you more richly and handle conflict with greater compassion.
