Care for the Caregiver: A Circle of Connection and Compassion
Being a caregiver (full- or part-time) is an act of love that can also be physically, emotionally, or spiritually draining. This group provides a place to share experiences, hear from others, and learn a toolkit of wellness practices from a national board-certified health and wellness coach. This group begins May 22, 2022. To inquire whether space is still available in the group or get on the contact list when a new cohort is launched in fall 2022, please contact the church office.
The facilitator, Amy Hoogervorst, is a national board-certified health and wellness coach who offers “grace and space for a healthier you.” She works 1:1 and in groups to help you create healthier habits and routines that fit your life, so you can continue to care well for what’s most important to you. A Durham native and lifelong United Methodist, Amy also has been a caregiver to a relative living with dementia.
