Ways to Help
Please check back for updates to this information.
The Missions Committee has been in contact with several of our ministry partners. There are still a lot of unknowns as organizations are working to determine the needs of their clients/children. We will continue to be in contact with these agencies as we move into this unchartered territory.
Pray — visit this page for options. Please sign up here to pray with neighbors and friends during our Drive Through Prayer time, 9:00-11:00 am, Monday-Saturday. (No contact.)
Give to support our inreach and outreach efforts.
- Online giving available as a one-time or ongoing option.
- Checks payable to SUMC may be left in our locking mailbox at the end of the Norwood driveway closest to the nursery or mailed to SUMC, 12837 Norwood Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613.
Give Blood — Blood Connection at SUMC on Wednesday, April 1, 4:00-6:00 pm-– sign up here.
Collection for Family Promise. Please drop off cleaning products, baby formula, and diapers. We will be accepting these donations through Friday, March 20, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Items will be delivered to the Family Promise Day Center. Soapstone will be on call for Family Promise to assist with emergency needs for meals or childcare should they arise.
Donation boxes will be set up in the long hallway at the church (near the office). Please read the labels on the boxes to ensure your donations are in the correct boxes for our ministry partners.
The Missions Committee will continue to work with our ministry partners as we move through these uncertain times. As organized efforts are put into place, we will share information with our congregation through Facebook, email, and our website.
Thank you,
Gretchen Shea
