Paula Scicluna
PianistPaula Scicluna joined the Soapstone staff in July 2022 sharing the parish pianist position with Hunter Browning. Being a part of the amazing music ministry at Soapstone is a huge blessing!
Originally from the great state of South Dakota, Paula is a retired Music Therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience working in New York with children having special needs and in Minnesota in the St. Paul school district working with children with special needs and severe mental illness. Upon moving to NC in 2004, she opened “Rhythm & Rehab, LLC” (2005-2020), a music therapy agency serving children with special needs, seniors in memory care and assisted living facilities, and stroke/aphasia rehabilitation.
Paula lives in Raleigh with her husband, Bob. Her son, Brandon, is currently a law student at NCCU and her daughter, Gabrielle, is a student at UNCG pursuing a degree in Recreational Therapy. In addition to playing the piano for Soapstone, Paula teaches private piano lessons at Trinity Academy. She’s an avid walker/jogger and, on her “off weeks” from Soapstone, she’s probably enjoying time in Oak Island.
