Rebecca has been a cherished member of the Soapstone United Methodist Church family for many years, starting her journey with us as a dedicated member and eventually stepping into various roles that demonstrate her commitment to our congregation. Initially, she served as our Nursery Coordinator, where she provided a caring, safe, and engaging environment for our youngest members. Her dedication and skill in managing the nursery made her a natural fit for her current role as Church Administrator, where she brings her characteristic warmth, attention to detail, and a strong sense of organization. Her efficiency and genuine love for the Soapstone congregation shine through in everything she does, creating a welcoming and smoothly-run space for all.
Rebecca shares her life with her husband, Chris, who also plays a significant role in our church community as a member of the Board of Trustees. Together, they have raised three wonderful children, two of whom are in college and one in high school. Family is central to Rebecca’s life, and she treasures the time they spend together, whether it’s during daily activities or special outings.
Beyond her dedication to family and church, Rebecca has a variety of hobbies that bring her joy. She has a deep love for the beach, finding peace and relaxation by the ocean. An avid reader, she enjoys diving into books, and she also finds satisfaction in solving puzzles of all kinds. Known for her adventurous spirit with animals, she’ll happily hold any creature at least once. In fact, her love for animals once led her to keep an unusual pet—a turkey named Tom, whose name brought smiles to many! Rebecca’s warmth, humor, and enthusiasm for the Soapstone community make her a treasured part of our church family.
