Pine Straw Details

Type of Pine Straw
Soapstone UMC will be offering long-needle pine straw (Southern longleaf).

Why long-needle pine straw is better:
• Thicker, coarser needles that last longer
• Slower to biodegrade than other varieties
• Brighter, richer reddish color for great curb appeal
• Holds in place better and provides excellent ground coverage

Bale Size & Coverage
Each bale is a standard size, similar to those sold at Lowe’s or local garden centers.
• Covers approximately 40 square feet at 3–4 inches deep

Pricing

Pickup Price
• $6.00 per bale

Delivery Pricing (within 10 miles of Soapstone UMC)
• $0.75 per bale
• $4 minimum delivery fee
• $30 maximum delivery fee
• Orders of 41+ bales are a flat $30 delivery fee

Delivery is not available beyond 10 miles.
If delivery is selected online for an address outside the 10-mile range, your delivery fee will be refunded promptly.

Pickup Information

Picking up your pine straw?
• Saturday, March 14
• 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
• Location: Soapstone UMC

You will receive a confirmation email when you place your order and another email the week of pickup with check-in instructions.

Delivery Information

Need it delivered?
Deliveries will be made during one of the following windows:
• Friday, March 13 | 1:30 – 7:00 pm
• Saturday, March 14 | Beginning at 8:00 am

You will receive a confirmation email with the delivery instructions you provided for our volunteers.
Changes to delivery instructions may be made until Thursday, March 12 at 3:30 pm.

Office Closure Notice
The church office will be closed March 13–March 16.
Emails received during this time will be reviewed on Monday, March 16.
