Calendar and Birthdate Cutoffs
Soapstone Preschool’s school year begins August 29, 2017 and ends in May 23, 2018. We have classes available for children ages 15 months 5 years old. The birth date cutoff for Toddlers, 2, 3, and 4 year olds is August 31, 2017. For our transitional 5 year old class, children must be 5 years old as of October 31, 2017.

2017-2018 Registration Fees
A registration fee is required when the notarized application is submitted. If space is not available, the registration fee is refundable through the Preschool office, and the child will be placed on our waiting list. The registration fee is determined by the number of days a child attends preschool per week. The 2017/2018 registration fees are as follows:
2 days $190
3 days $270
5 days $340
50% of the registration fee is refunded only if the child’s family moves 25 miles or more from Soapstone Preschool before August 1, 2017. Proof of relocation (such as a utility bill with the parent’s name) must be submitted by August 1, 2017 to receive the 50% refund. There will be no refund of registration fees for withdrawals after August 1, 2017 or for children who remain within 25 miles of Soapstone Preschool. The registration fee covers children’s supplies, major equipment, classroom upkeep, and playground improvements/maintenance.
2017-2018 Tuition Fees
Tuition is due by the 10th of the month for the following month and is determined by the number of days a child attends class weekly. Tuition for September 2017 is due August 10, 2017. The monthly 2017-2018 tuition fees are as follows:
2 days $190

May 2018 tuition is due May 10, 2017 or at time of registration if after May 10. May 2017 tuition will be refunded in full if a child is withdrawn before preschool begins on August 30, 2017. If a child is withdrawn from the program between August 30, 2017 and March 1, 2018 for any reason and 30 days notice has been given, May 2018 tuition will be refunded if the child’s space is filled within 30 days by a child not currently enrolled at Soapstone Preschool. No refund will be given if a child is withdrawn after March 1, 2018.

4 year olds M/W/F (3 days) or M-F (5 days)

*Occasionally when preschool is closed on Monday this class will meet on Friday.

The birth date cutoff is August 31 for the 2, 3, and 4 year old classes and October 31 for the Transition/5 year old class.
Lunch Bunch (Optional)
Lunch Bunch is offered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for an additional hour (from 12:15 to 1:15). This is an optional program with additional fees due August 10 (see below) and December 10. 2 years olds will begin Lunch Bunch in October with a separate fee schedule.
Additional Information: Children bring a lunch that does not need to be refrigerated or warmed up. Lunch is to be placed in a lunch box with the child’s name clearly written on it. Children will stay in their classrooms to have lunch or combine with another class.
Every child is required to bring a Soapstone Preschool tote bag to school daily. The cost for the tote bag is $7.00 and is to be added to the registration fee. Tote bags are distributed before Preschool begins. Returning children are welcome to use their bag from the previous year or purchase a replacement.
Medical Forms/Immunization Records
The child’s medical form and immunization records are due at the time of registration. Completed medical forms signed by a licensed physician are due yearly on August 10 or at time of registration. Immunizations must be up-to-date. Please note that religious exemptions for immunizations are not accepted at Soapstone Preschool.

- Notarized Registration Form
- Immunization Records for those new to the program
- A check or a completed Bank Draft Authorization form for the fees due
- Medical and Signature Page forms are due 8/10
