Soapstone Preschool

About Us

Soapstone Preschool is a ministry of Soapstone United Methodist Church offering genuine love and care to children and families in a safe, nurturing Christian environment. We believe, as Fred Roger’s once said, that “play is really the work of childhood”. At Soapstone, every child is special and we strive to teach to the whole child, by helping them grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Our mission is to guide, educate and nurture children in a creative Christian environment.  Children will confidently engage in enthusiastic, play-based learning and build meaningful relationships and skills within a loving,  joyful, and educational space, filled with Christian love.

General Program Information

Soapstone Preschool operates from 9:15 am – 12:45 pm (12:15 pm for Toddlers from August – December), Monday through Friday. In addition to the regular classroom experience, children participate in Music and Creative Movement class, daily outdoor playground time, weekly Chapel, Yoga, and monthly Science explorations. We also enjoy fun special events and in-house experiences such as fire truck visits, Trunk-or-Treat, Field Day, dental hygienist visits, and music programs.
